How might one go about arranging a search for intelligent life in the universe? Presuming that most, if not all, organic lifeforms closely resemble our own seems to be the prevailing opinion as to where to start. Thus, as we speak, scientists are searching the cosmos for planets that fall within the habitable zone of sun-like stars. Enter Kepler 22b, the best approximation found thus far. What, specifically, is known about this planet that many are now referring to as "Earth's twin"? And how realistic are our expectations? Dr. Woldar and Skyler Hall adorn the Science Panel along with our host.
PIPA and SOPA is not a new comedy duo—in a sense. These two pending legislations are more steps to police the Information Super Highway. Just as it is impossible to legislate morality, the Internet remains the formless power of freedom. However, its residents must shout. This is why we started the Occupy the Internet Facebook page and why PIPA and SOPA must GOA [sic]. Listen to the voice of the original protester on the Jan. 19 show.
Jiggy Jaguar and The Des, two pioneer Internet broadcasters appear for this romp about radio, virtual and actual, and the state of the industry. Of course, there is ribbing and there is ego and there is madness whenever these three get together so listen as this trio of original voices hams up the mics and jams up the wires.
Alan Watts, the father of Western Zen, delivers the concept of 'nothing' and makes it astonishing amid the thoughts our host presents about everything from the invention of pants to the decorating of a small room filled with nothing that grows character and relaxation. It's a message of the heart from the mind of us all.
